We just got done with our first festival, "Cherry Festival" here in southern California. Our equipment performed flawlessly...we sold about $4,000 worth of kettle corn in 3 days! Even with another kettle corn vendor there, we did this much. REALLY... THIS IS NO LIE. We received so many compliments about our kettle corn and equipment that people were amazed. Some even asked if we were franchising our business. We all had matching yellow t-shirts and hats, to match the color of our yellow tent, with yellow sample trays handing out samples to people walking by. I thought I would drop you a quick note. This past weekend, Friday evening and all day Saturday was our first real show. WOW!!! What an awesome experience; fun, exciting, exhausting and just plain fantastic! We made $1,700!!!!! I can't tell you how many people said our kettle corn was the best. My wife said people would turn away from the fireworks to watch me pop the corn. We were even packing up and a guy came up and asked if we had any more kettle corn left. I said I had one large bag that I was saving for a picnic on Sunday. He asked how much and I said five bucks. He kind of shook his head and said he really didn't want that much. So I opened the bag and gave him a sample; he immediately pulled out his wallet and gave me the five bucks. We started packing up and he walked and said that's the best kettle corn he's ever had and I said we'll be back next year and he said I'm from Milwaukee Wisconsin and I can't get this good of kettle corn! All the equipment works and looks great! Thanks for putting out such good equipment at an affordable price.

Well, we've been in business for about a year now and I never would have thought we'd be as successful as we've been. You know how competitive kettle corn is; so we're always getting either looks of curiosity, or glares from the other vendors because we're the new man on the block and look so good. Although we did not make our million, we still made $354 and since there were only about 300 people that came, I'd say we did pretty good in the 18 degree day! Thanks again.

Janet & I are nearing the halfway point of our first season and are having a great time. We had an experience this past weekend that we felt we had to share with you. We pulled onto the street where the community event was taking place. As we sat there waiting to find out where our site was going to be, we noticed that we were not the only kettle corn vendors at this event - turned out we were one of four. We felt very discouraged and were concerned that we traveled two and one-half hours in the predawn hours for nothing. As we were setting up one of the other vendors came down to check us out. He recognized your equipment and told us he had saved himself thousands of dollars by making his own equipment. To make a long story shorter, as the event went on we had several people with a bag of the homemade equipment vendor's kettle corn stop by our booth and try a sample. They all made the comment that they wished they had found our booth first; they put his bag in the trash, and bought from us. We had another woman come up and tell us she was checking out all the samples first, which by the way not all the vendors supplied. She came back and informed us that ours was the best and bought two bags. We were the only vendors using the mushroom corn, corn oil, and the equipment and recipe provided by North Bend. While we started this business to make additional money, our first and most important goal is to serve a quality product at a reasonable price. It makes our day when people tell us how good our product is. By the way, on a day we thought we would struggle to make our $130 booth fee plus expenses, the Lord blessed us with a $900 day. Maybe not as good as it could have been financially if we were the only vendor, but what a boost to know that our product made people happy and people felt it was better than the veteran vendors. We want to thank you for all the support you provided us in getting our business started. This experience goes to show that having the right equipment and recipe makes the difference. The compliments we have received on the quality of our product are too many to mention. Thank you and God bless.

It was a little over 3 years ago when I bought a kettle from another kettle corn company. I was new to the kettle corn business. It took me about a year to figure out the good events and bad ones. I do about 20 events a year as this is a second business for me. After finding the bigger events, I realized that the kettle I had was not big enough for my business. I could not pop the corn fast enough to keep up with the lines. That was not good. I started to look for someone to make me a bigger kettle. I found your site, and called Andrea and asked her many questions. She had the answers and seemed to know what I was looking for. Since I already had a kettle I knew what would work best for me. She talked with Brad and he said it would not be a problem to make the changes to the kettle (moving the controls to the opposite side). I placed the order for the equipment, but I had one more request - I needed the kettle before the 30th of June and it was now the 20th of May. Well, Brad said he could do it. Andrea kept me updated as to the order's progress. She notified me when it was being shipped and when I would receive my kettle. Yes, it was before the 30th of June as requested. I was very pleased when I saw how well they packed the items for shipping. It took me about 1/2 hour to unpack and set up the kettle. I was so pleased with the superior workmanship that Brad did on everything. I used the kettle for the first time at the Fourth of July fireworks show in our town (about 25,000 people attend). Yes, this kettle could keep up with the production demand that we needed for this event. This kettle can produce enough kettle corn to return about $1,300 an hour. That is with 1 bagger and 2 sellers. Brad and Andrea, thank you again for how well you run your business; you met the need and delivered as promised. THANK YOU!

We purchased the Complete Mobile Concession Package from North Bend earlier this year. We have undergone five inspections and each inspector has consistently been impressed by the professional quality of the equipment. Other non-kettle-corn vendors have even asked where they could purchase the hand-washing station. We even had a customer say that "to the trained eye, this is an outstanding set-up." So far I have only had one semi-festival day. It was a new park dedication and they had entertainment all day. Pretty busy, but I wasn't selling much corn for the first 3 hours and then all of a sudden I sold about $700 worth in 2 hours. Finished the day around $900. I have many competitors in my area and I have checked every one of their machines out. I have yet to find a more efficient kettle corn popper out there. I have seen many machines that are not fully enclosed, causing loss of heat of the kettle and way too much heat on the person cooking. The other guys don't stand a chance against my North Bend Original. Thanks for the great popper and all the ongoing help you have given me.

Earth Day we generated $600. There are many people in our area who have never tasted kettle corn...It's amazing how many people buy a bag after they're given a sample. About 70% of people that tried the popcorn bought a bag. My 3 boys were working the booth. We are using the machine (we love the receiving bin - it is great for bagging as well as separating the old maids!) for extra attraction to our retail popcorn store. Our biggest surprise about the kettle corn business was how well received the kettle corn was as an addition to our retail popcorn business. Everyone loves it. We put a sign on the outside of our business introducing kettle corn. Many people have come in from the street that have never been in before because they wanted kettle corn. We're using our kettle corn unit at a drag racing track and festivals. We're also offering cotton candy. So far the kettle corn has outsold the cotton candy. Our best day was at the Spring Nationals Drag Racing...about 7,000 people for the 2 days. We had 3 people working and grossed about $2,500. The money spent on our unit is money well spent. We have 3 teenagers; they all work with us. They earn spending money and are learning how to run and manage a business. This will help them get ready for their adult years and the extra income we earn will help pay for their college.

We make kettle corn at our shop 3 days a week all year long. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, weather permitting, we have drive-up outdoor service. We even see our kettle corn customers from inside and know who they are. We've never had a bad popping day, and have plans to go to local festivals this summer and spread kettle corn cheer. My best money making day to date was at a Chili Fest with an estimated crowd of 1,200 people. I was going head to head with another kettle corn vendor. My gross sales were $800 and I cleared $650. Buy a North Bend unit and laugh all the way to the bank. I unloaded and set up, started popping and selling while I watched and LAUGHED as 3 grown men unloaded a bulky, heavy machine and proceeded to set it up. As we popped head to head all day I consistently received rave reviews for my corn and had a line most of the day. Thanks again for your kindness, Brad and Andrea. Kettle Corn is an honest business with real income potential. It is not some get rich quick scheme. Like most valid enterprises, success requires planning, hard work and perseverance. It is very satisfying to turn $2.00 worth of ingredients into $20.00 worth of product that virtually everybody absolutely loves. July 3rd 2002, at a fireworks display, from 3-11 pm we grossed about $1,400 with 4 people working. A local realty company allowed us to set up on one of their properties near the harbor for free, which kept our overhead very low.
